Bio
I am a second year PhD student originally from Bandera, Texas. I am interested in studying licit and illicit drug use, abuse and addiction during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. My current research focuses on women and the upsurge in opiate addiction during the latter half of the nineteenth-century, and considers the demographic shift in the addict population that came with the federal regulation of narcotics.
