I am a first-year PhD Student from St. George, South Carolina. I graduated in 2016 from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina with a B.A. in History and French. I received a M.A. – History from Idaho State University. While there, I published a thesis titled: “Mandating Sectarianism: British Imperial Policy towards Shias in the Formation of the Iraqi State, 1890-1932.” Coming from this experience, my main research focus is Comparative British and French Imperialism with their experiences of sectarianism as a global phenomenon in the 19th and 20th Centuries.
