Kenly Stewart is a first year PhD student. A native of North Carolina, he graduated with a B.A. in History from Campbell University in 2017 and a Master of Divinity from Wake Forest University in 2020. He specializes in 19th American history, the U.S. Civil War and Reconstruction Eras, and American intellectual history. Some of his research interests include anti-slavery constitutionalism, the contributions of African Americans to American intellectual and political thought, and the life and legacy of Abraham Lincoln. He is also a proud former public high school teacher.
