Bio: 

Elaina Ginsberg is a Ph.D. student from Rochester, New York whose research explores African American and women’s history in the Civil War Era. She graduated from Allegheny College in 2025, with a B.A. in History and with minors in Black Studies and Political Science. She has worked as an intern at Seminary Ridge Museum and Education Center, as well as Eisenhower National Historic Site, both in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. During her internship at Eisenhower NHS, Ginsberg published a piece titled “Documenting History: Eisenhower and the Holocaust” through the Park Service. This past academic year, Ginsberg was awarded the William E. Parrish Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award from Mississippi State’s chapter of Phi Alpha Theta.
