I am a 2nd year Masters student from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I study late nineteenth century and twentieth century Gender and Sexuality. My most recent research discusses how sororities in the South played their part in the nation’s higher education expansion due to the GI Bill, and how these sororities, its members, and the institutions they were apart of played their part in the national narrative of the creation of the nuclear family during the Cold War.
